| Kern Paillard Switar 10mm f/1.6 RX Very good Swiss lens. Great color and contrast.
The Coating The coating is purple/yellow-ish.
The Diaphagm
The 9-blade diaphagm forming the nonagonal aperture.
The Barrels
The aperture barrel clicks at each stops. It goes from f/1.6-22.
The focus barrels goes beyond the 8" mark.
The C RX Mount
Mine is RX version which means it only works best with Bolex Reflex cameras with beam-splitter prism. You can still use it on cameras with regular C mount and you may not notice much difference. In any case, the lens is also available in regular C mount. RX versions should be indicated by the red engraving as you can see in the photo above.
The Super 16 Coverage Despite being so wide, the lens covers the Super 16. But there may be some vignetting depending on the situation. The outer frame line indicates Super 16 frame. The dashed line indicates the regular 16mm and the one inside is for TV safe.
