Kodak Ektar 25mm f/1.4

Kodak Cine Ektar II 25mm f/1.4

Lens made by Eastman Kodak for 16mm cameras. There is also a slower version of the lens: Kodak Cine Ektar 25mm f/1.9.

As far as I know, it comes in either C mount or S mount. S mount is the mount exclusively used by Kodak. You would need an adapter to use it on C mount cameras.

When I did a lens test with this lens, it casted yellowish tint all over the image, and I don't think the quality is that good. But that's just what I think...

There is a wide converter specifically designed for this lens to make it 15mm. The adapter only works for the f/1.4 version.

The Diaphragm

The diaphragm has 16 blades in dual layers, which form a more or less circular octagonal aperture.

The Barrels

As you can see in the picture, the focus barrel goes slightly beyond the 12" mark.

FYI, the distance X shifts about 3mm when you turn the focus barrel from the closest to infinity.

The iris barrel clicks at each stops.

The S Mount

The Super 16 Coverage

Yes, it does cover the Super 16 frame at all settings. Sorry for the bad picture, but the outer frame line is the one for Super 16. The dashed line indicates the regular 16mm frame and the one inside is for TV safe I think.
